Goal of tournament is to gather largest possible number of players. Most of squash player plays with very limited number of squash partners. Tournament is a chance for everyone to play with new opponents, of different styles and levels of play. Of course, if you started with squash last week, we suggest to wait with joining the tournament, but please do come as spectator.
Junior players are allowed to join the tournament only with permission from their couch, and permission from tournament organiser. Allowing junior player to play single round, does not automatically means they can play the whole tournament.
To preserve competitive spirit of tournament, with players of potentially great difference of squash skills, we decided to categorise all players in to two groups. At the end of the tournament best players from both categories will be awarded.
Most players will be in this category. Players with less squash experience and less tournaments participations.
Players with more squash experience, players who participated in international tournaments, players which played for national team, holders of trainer licences etc.
Upon registering for participation, we will contact you to place you in appropriate category.
Both categories of players play in same draw. After each tournament round we will publish both the general standing and standings for each category.
Player at 10th position will receive number of point equal to number of total number of players. Players ranked better than 10th position will receive 11 point more than player ranked one place below them. Players ranked below 10th position will receive one point less than player ranked one place above them.
At the end of the tournament, best players in both categories will be awarded.
